If Looks Could Thrill

Elephante, the LA producer, released a cover of Bag Raider’s 2009 track, “Shooting Star”, whose perfect blend of music and lyrics created a timeless epic that was at once nostalgic for the past and hopeful for the future.

Elephante’s version is faithful to the spirit and the letter of the original, but, giving it a contemporary flair, propels it into the realm of #happy.

Truth is, both versions are spectacular. The original has that syncopated disco beat that moves your feet, but lacks the hard heat that is the signature of very contemporary music, which Elephante has now graciously provided.
